Teesside LGV Training is a National Register of LGV Instructors (NRI) approved training and examination centre in the North East for Assessor training and Examinations.
The register is operated by RTITB and supported by Logistics UK and Road Haulage Association (RHA), all of whom oversee the standards and future development of the register.

70-minute test with 70 multiple choice questions covering assessment techniques, legislation, The Highway Code and eco-safe driving. The overall pass mark is 85% and you also need to achieve a minimum of 80% in each of the four subject areas.

A minimum one-hour drive. You cannot incur any more than six driving faults and you must not incur any serious or dangerous faults. You will be asked to do one of two off road exercises (chosen on the day by the examiner).

The examiner takes the role of the driver being assessed in a 90-minute role play of in-cab assessment and reporting. This comprises of 15 minutes for candidates to undertake a pre-assessment briefing and checks, 15 minutes for vehicle familiarity and walk-around checks, 30 minutes for on-road driving assessment and 30 minutes for the candidate to write their assessment report. The pass mark is 50 out of 72 and you will need to achieve a minimum of 20 in Part 1 and 31 in Part 2.
Upon successful completion of the examination, you will finalise your enrolment on the Register by filling out a registration form and agreeing the terms and conditions, before submitting for approval.
