LGV Category C Class 2 Licence

Pass your Category C Class 2 test, and you can drive any rigid truck over 7.5 tonnes, like fire engines, removal lorries, refuse collection vehicles and most haulage trucks.

If you are over 18 and want to gain your Category C Class 2 licence, you’ll find our whole approach to LGV driver training is reassuringly different to other providers.

How long is the LGV Category C Class 2 Course?

This is typically a 5-day course, with your on-site test on the 5th day, but shorter and longer courses can also be arranged.  We can also offer flexible training, giving you the option to spread your training over a combination of full and half days, should you prefer.

Course content

Our DVSA-approved, LGV Category C Class 2 driver course includes both theory and practical stages, and covers all aspects of truck driving, including:

• manoeuvring and reversing
• vehicle safety
• understanding and using gearbox ratios
• loading and unloading in line with safety regulations
• your final assessment
