RTITB Forklift Truck Training

Earn your RTITB Forklift Truck qualification, and you will be qualified to safely operate a forklift truck

If you are over 16 and want to gain your forklift truck (FLT) qualification, you’ll find our whole approach to FLT operator training is reassuringly different to other providers.  

What to expect when you train with Teesside LGV

At Teesside LGV, we set the standard for FLT training – it’s why our pass rates are so high and why you’ll feel confident and supported throughout your training journey.  You can expect:  

• Exceptional 1-to-1 instruction from our own team of highly qualified FLT instructors – Teesside LGV is an approved RTITB and NPORS training centre

• A whole host of extra tips and advice that prepare you for the real world of forklift truck driving – helping to ensure your ongoing journey as a FLT operator is safer, easier and more enjoyable

• Fantastic facilities.  We have our own specialist forklift truck training and test centre on-site – approved by both the Road Transport Industry Training Board (RTITB) and the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS).  As well as guaranteeing your training meets exceptional standards, you’ll also feel confident and familiar with your environment on test day.  

How long is the RTITB forklift truck operator Course?

This course lasts between 2 and 5 days (depending on your previous experience), with your on-site test on the final day.   

Course content

Our RTITB and NPORS-approved forklift truck operator course includes both theory and practical stages, and covers everything you need to gain your RTITB or NPORS forklift qualification and have your name entered on the official Operators database.  Our course covers the whole FLT syllabus, in line with RTITB standards.
